As an artist, to join the initiative you simply decide to donate 100% of the sale price of one or more of your works to one or more of our 5 supported organisations.
The organisations are:
Medical Aid for Palestinians
The Sameer Project
Al Jawad Educational Camp
The Hind Rajab Foundation
Ele-Elna-Elak
You can find more information about each organisation along with their fundraiser links on our SUPPORTED ORGANISATIONS PAGE.
Once you've chosen the organisation(s) you wish to support, you then add the relevant fundraiser link to your Instagram profile (or website or newsletter for artists who don't use instagram). Artists can choose to raise funds for multiple organisations through the sale of a single work; however, it will be much simpler for you and your collectors if you raise funds for only one organisation per work.
Take a front on, evenly lit, appropriately cropped photograph of your work against a plain background (smartphone photographs are perfectly adequate)*. Post the work on Instagram and include the following text in your post:

This work is offered for sale as part of the Artists Supporting Palestine @ArtistsSupportingPalestine initiative and 100% of the sale price goes directly to [insert organisation name]. If you would like to purchase the work, please DM me to check it is still available. Once you are confirmed as the buyer, use the relevant fundraising link which you'll find in [my bio or the @artistssupportingpalestine bio] and make a donation equivalent to the sale price. Then take a screenshot of the confirmation of your donation and DM it to me. If there is an additional charge for P&P, this is to be paid separately and I will let you know how to pay this.
--------
Please then DM the image(s) from your post to @artistssupportingpalestine
If your work is 3-D and multiple images are required for it to be presented properly, please include additional images in your post as required.
Follow the same instructions as above, but instead of posting to Instagram, email the photograph(s) of your work to ArtSuppPalestine@gmail.com along with the details of your work as listed above.
To buy a work, follow the @ArtistsSupportingPalestine Instagram account. New works will first appear on Instagram as artists post them there and we repost them from the Artists Supporting Palestine account and add them to the catalogue on this website. All works are added to the website, where you can browse the entire collection in one place, but it can take a few days for works to be added and they sometimes sell before they've been added. Once you find a work you wish to purchase, message the artist via the "enquire about a work" button at the top of their catalogue page, to check if it is still available. If it is and you wish to go ahead with the purchase, confirm this with the artist and then make a donation to the relevant organisation using the appropriate fundraising link which should be in the artist's profile, but will also in the Artists Supporting Palestine profile. You then take a screenshot of the message confirming your donation and send this to the artist via DM on Instagram.
Please be aware that some fundraising platforms (such as JustGiving) automatically add a large % tip to your donation. This is additional money that you will be charged and which goes to the platform not the supported organisation. It can can usually be reduced or removed altogether by selecting "custom amount" or equivalent in the tipping box and entering £0 or an amount of your choosing before completing your donation.
Once you find a work you wish to purchase, email ArtSuppPalestine@gmail.com to check that it's still available. Artists Supporting Palestine will liaise with the artist and get back to you to confirm whether it is available. If it is and you wish to go ahead with the purchase, Artists Supporting Palestine, will let the artist know and will put you in touch with them via email. You then make a donation to the relevant organisation using the appropriate fundraising link. You then make your donation and take a screenshot of the message confirming your donation and email this to the artist.
If there is a charge for postage and packing, the artist will explain the method by which this should be paid, usually bank transfer, PayPal or a similar mechanism and once payment is received and you've provided the artist with your shipping details, the artist will package up the work and post it to you, letting you know that it's on its way and if available providing you with a tracking link. Alternatively, if you would rather arrange the shipping yourself, you can ask the artist to package up and weigh the work, then send you the details, including the artist's address and you can book the postage online and email or DM the labels to the artist.
NB: All transactions take place between the buyer and the artist and Artists Supporting Palestine has no involvement in facilitating these or resolving any disputes.
